Kyiv police: we protect, not panic!

In connection with the threat of a possible armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the personnel of the National Police of Ukraine switched to an enhanced mode of service from February 14 to 19, 2022. This was reported in the press service of the department

As the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrskyi, emphasized, there is no reason to panic, and a strengthened regime is necessary in order to react more promptly to any threats to the safety of citizens.

The Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv explained what "enhanced regime" means in practical terms: an increase in the number of patrols to ensure public safety and order on the streets; deployment of additional situational centers for round-the-clock monitoring of the operational situation; taking under protection objects of critical infrastructure, state authorities and local self-government.

The head of the Metropolitan Police, Ivan Vyhivskyi, noted that under any circumstances, the work process of his subordinates is continuous, because the police officers perform their duties 24/7. "Indeed, when certain threats arise, we emphasize. When serious events take place, we, among other things, deploy a situational center at the base of Kyiv's Glavka, which is engaged in constant analysis of the situation," Vyhivskyi noted. In addition, the head of the Kyiv police emphasized that the enhanced version of the police service is about readiness, about protection, and not at all about panic.

Representatives of specialized public organizations claim that thanks to professional and effective leadership, the Kyiv police are highly motivated, prepared, and coordinated in their actions regarding any development of events and prevention of any threats to the safety of the capital's residents. Kyivans feel this, therefore, even in these anxious days, the city works and functions in a normal working rhythm, without the slightest hint of panic.
